Bring on the weekend!
by Doctor K on Oct.03, 2008, under Shows
Yeah it’s Friday again, the weekend is so close I can taste it. It’s gonna be a good weekend in Melbourne, lots of pleasant spring weather… and a Nitidus rock show to cap it off.
In case you hadn’t heard, Nitidus are heading to The Espy this Sunday for Con Batz’s Rock in the City along with our friends Exile, Crimson Face and other talented Melbourne bands. You’re in for a treat, but don’t come expecting a regular Nitidus show. We’re gonna shake things up a bit on Sunday just for fun, because fun is what it’s all about.
Once again, Adam will step up to the mic as he did so well at the Ding Dong. We’ve also got a special guest joining us on stage too. We had a rehearsal with our guest earlier this week and it was sounding pretty sweet, so we’re very excited to see what happens on the night.
PC couldn’t make it back from New Zealand for the show this time, but if you would like to see PC back on stage with Marki, Adam and Doctor K, then head on over to the shop and buy some sweet Nitidus swag. All proceeds go towards the “Fly PC’s ass to Melbourne” fund.
Hope to see you on Sunday. We’ll be there from 6pm, come and join us for a drink before the show.
Don’t forget to let your friends know (it’s easy, just use the buttons below).
The wait is almost over

After a long few months behind the scenes, Nitidus are coming back to rock your world very soon.
Some of the things that have been going on in the last few months:
- We’re organising festival appearances in the summer. We’ll let you know more about that soon.
- Speaking of festivals, you can still vote for Nitidus to play at the Grazzhopper Festival 08.
- We’re locking in some rock shows and more ways for you to access our music.
- V-Raw featured us on their website for a while, thanks V-Raw.
- Patrick has been a busy dad.
- Buzz Magazine printed an interview with Nitidus, thanks Monique.
- A bunch of new studio tracks have been added to the Myspace page for your listening pleasure.
- The Musicland show earlier this year was broadcast on Channel 31′s Asylum TV.
As well as that, we’ve been spending some time checking out the other talented bands doing the hard yards out on the Melbourne live music scene. Shout outs to Gretchen Lewis, Dusted Orange, Exile, Crimson Face, Kids In Cults, Against The Grain, Daddy’s Little Girl, Siren’s Gate and Lucy’s Crown.
Watch this space, more of the good stuff coming at ya!

Time to dust off the old gear.
