The band is currently taking a revamping period and will not be performing until the drums and guitar positions are filled and some new material is written. This period will be short lived as the band love doing nothing more than perform for there devoted fans. Further information on the current position openings can be found here or by following the link in the Extra! Extra! section to the right.
Farewell Robb
by Bobby on Jul.12, 2003, under Uncategorized
The show at the Arthouse on the 23rd of this month will see the parting of current drummer Robb Burchett. A mutual decision between the band members has resulted in Robb’s leaving to persue other musical interests. Updates on Robb’s future projects will be available here as the information becomes available. Nitidus have already been auditioning for a new drummer and second guitarist and will be showcasing them in the near future. As this will lead to yet another musical change for Nitidus, it does not remove the very essence that is Nitidus. We wish Robb all the best in the future.
In honor of Andy…

In regards to the forthcoming EP to soon be released, it has been decided that because it was originally written and recorded when the band comprised of Patrick, Marko, and Andy that it would dishonor the music if Robb rerecorded the drum tracks. It will be released as it was originally recorded and a new EP or album begun either late this year or early next year that would encompass the new incarnation of Nitidus. Still awaiting final confirmation are two more shows – one in July and one in August. More to come, just hold yer horses.

Our Apologies!
by Bobby on Jun.01, 2003, under Shows
To anyone who checked the site, saw a poster or advertisement saying NITIDUS was playing on the 31st of May at 10:30pm, we were headlining, and/or perhaps caught the last fifteen seconds of the show, our deepest apologies. Through a course of miscommunication with the booker, the times ended up rearranged. This didn’t appear on the site because we only found this out when we arrived at the venue; early to meet with a contact. Luckily we arrived before the first band was to start (which ended up being us) or we wouldn’t have played at all. Just a mess, but it was sorted out in the end and hopefully shouldn’t happen again.
Times for the next few shows and those still in the works are being reconfirmed in attempts to avoid this recurring and we will update when that information becomes available, possibly tomorrow. Again, we apologise for the mix up and maybe we can make up for it in the near future.
New website Up and Running
by Bobby on May.27, 2003, under Web Stuff
The new website is finally up and running. There are a few sections that are still being worked on but for the most part, the site is fully functional. Well, at least you’ll be able to quickly find out when and where the next shows will be. There is also a new Images section that is sure to please (thanks to Damien Potocnik for taking the photos). Check back frequently as more wonderful tidbits are added quite often.
New Nitidus Drummer
by Bobby on May.23, 2003, under Uncategorized
Many an event is afoot within the Nitidus camp. First and foremost is the announcement of new drummer Robb Burchett, replacing the late Andy Simmons who passed away on March 10th earlier this year. As work has begun on new material, Robb’s musical influence has added a heavier, yet slightly more progressive sound to not only passed works but future writings as well. A few warm-up shows have graced a couple local bars and have seen a huge, positive response to not only the thicker, richer sound but has also confirmed Robb as a permanent member. Check the Shows section for upcoming gigs.
Some merchandise is on it’s way in the form of a live bootleg, a new EP, shirts, stickers, and other little tasty treats. Most of these items will be available here in the Merchandise section when they are released while some will have to be purchased at a show.
