Life is a roller coaster
by Doctor K on Jan.10, 2008, under Uncategorized
Here we are at the start of another year. Thought we’d kick off with a look at just how much of a roller coaster ride 2007 was for Nitidus…
Stay tuned, more good stuff coming at ya soon.
So Long 2007
by Doctor K on Dec.31, 2007, under Uncategorized
Hey rockers, just droppin’ a line to say thanks for all the good times in 2007. It’s been a massive year for Nitidus and one hell of a roller coaster ride, but we made it through alive and we hope you all enjoyed the fireworks! Read on for a recap of this year’s highlights.
Winning the LA Music Award for Hard Rock Artist of the Year was like a sign from the gods of rock beckoning us to Hollywood. The band went into overdrive writing, rehearsing, selling wine and paying off credit cards ready for a blow out LA tour mid year. While our minds were focused on making the LA tour happen this year, we still kept the gig calendar filled up with dates around Victoria sharing stages with Taxi Ride, Justin Murphy and others.
The 21 Alibis promotional tour of west coast USA stands out as one of the greatest moments in the turbulent history of Nitidus. All of us crammed into an RV for a 3 week long endurance test that pushed our sanity to the brink… but still got us around California and Nevada to rock some world famous venues: The Whiskey A-Go-Go, The Roxy, The Key Club, The Gig Hollywood and many more. The tour was a big success and Nitidus definitely left an impression and kicked some major doors wide open. Leaving the States afer the tour was bitter sweet, as we left behind some great times, some great shows and some new fans. Hope to see you all again real soon!
Back in Australia, there was no slowing down for Nitidus. In the last few months we signed our fates over to the good hands at Fa’Sho Management, recorded some hot new tracks that you can now hear on Myspace and caused all shades of chaos on the red carpet of this year’s ARIA Awards. Plus we rocked some massive gigs with some of Australia’s finest, including Diesel and Airbourne.
With more big shows coming and a whole lot more than you can imagine going on behind the scenes, 2008 is shaping up to be another wild ride on the Nitidus pony.
So that’s it for another year. Thanks for coming to the show, hope you all had a great Xmas and we’ll see you in the new year for more mayhem.
Cheers!
So… why are Nitidus in the studio now?
by Doctor K on Nov.23, 2007, under Uncategorized
Why the sudden rush to record new tracks? Well those who have been to the shows this year will know we’ve got a lot of new stuff just waiting to be recorded, so it’s good to finally take these fan favourites from the live show and turn them into something to shake your home stereo (or iPod).
But this recording is not just for the joy of making music. It has been a poorly kept secret that Nitidus have been attracting some significant label interest in the last few months since even before our 21 Alibis tour of the USA. These new tracks will be forwarded to some very powerful folks in the music biz, potentially sealing a record deal… but more on this tantalising development later.
Never lose faith!

Tune in to the ARIAs on Network Ten
by Doctor K on Oct.28, 2007, under Uncategorized
Don’t forget to tune into the ARIA Red Carpet special tonight at 7pm on Network Ten followed at 8.30pm by the ARIA Awards. If you can’t be at Acer Arena tonight, don’t miss Ten’s broadcast!
I’m here with the Nitidus boys and Dre at Acer Arena right now, and we’re just about to step onto the red carpet. That’s right, I’m writing to you all from the back of a limo. Gotta go meet the people, see you all next Saturday!
Historic night for Immersion
by Doctor K on Oct.26, 2007, under Uncategorized
Just thought we’d let you all know about an important event for a band that has been close to the Nitidus family for many years. Adam’s former band mates in Immersion will be saying farewell to their leading lady or rock: Sharne. This Friday 26th of October will be Sharne’s final performance with Immersion, but it will also be the first for new singer Sarah Q!
If you’d like to come and check out the show, then get over to Sectionate at 60 King St (next door to Bar 20 we’re told) in Melbourne, Victoria. We’ll see you at the bar!
Walking the red carpet
by Doctor K on Oct.24, 2007, under Uncategorized
It is now official: Nitidus will not only be attending this year’s ARIA award ceremony, but will also make an appearance on the red carpet. I guess they must have heard about our LA Music Award. This is a tremendous honour and we can’t wait to inject a bit of Nitidus hard rock style to the whole event.
We will be rocking up to the red carpet at 4:26pm, making our grand entrance in an official ARIA stretch Chrysler 300cc. As our manager put it, “a real gangsta rock limo!”. Keep an eye out on Sunday 28th October, you may catch a glimpse of us on Channel Ten’s telecast.
Stay tuned for more ARIA mayhem.
The fifth member of Nitidus
by Doctor K on Oct.19, 2007, under Uncategorized
I’d like to take a moment to introduce you to the newest member of Nitidus: our manager Andre Williams. Take a bow, Dre!
Dre heads up Fa’ Sho’ Management in Sydney, who also look after the lovely and talented Sophia. The man is in high demand, being well connected within the Australian music industry as well as back in his home town Los Angeles. With a smile that can charm the panties off a supermodel (it’s been known to happen), Dre has already begun making big things happen in the Nitidus world.
Dre and Nitidus have been collaborating unofficially for several months now ever since coming into contact through the wonders of Myspace. Now that ink has been put to paper, I dare say we’re all in for some exciting times ahead.
Nitidus are going to the ARIAs!
by Doctor K on Oct.13, 2007, under Uncategorized
The ARIAs are going to have Nitidus to deal with this year! We’re taking time out from our heavy song writing schedule to fly up to Sydney and attend the Australian Record Industry Association’s night of nights.
Thanks to our esteemed colleagues in the music industry, we’ll be strutting down the red carpet with other Australian artists you may know, such as Missy Higgins, The Veronicas, Powderfinger, silverchair and more. During the award ceremony, we’ll be sharing a table with some of the most powerful people in the music business… then killing countless brain cells at the official and unofficial after parties.
It’s a dirty job but someone’s gotta do it. Naturally we’ll be taking as many photos as we can get away with, so if there’s any particular celebrity you’d like to see sharing a Kodak moment with Nitidus, let us know by posting a comment below (we’ll try and snap as many as we can).
Don’t forget to tune in to the ARIAs, which is televised on 28th October (check your local TV guide)… and then check back here for photos and other goodies. Don’t expect anything posted the next day though, as the band will be in hangover recovery mode.
